MOONDROP – Quarks DSP Wired IEM

MOONDROP designs some of the most elegant-looking and spectacular-sounding in-ear monitors. Quarks was a revolutionary sound system known for its excellent sound quality. However, it still needs improvement and a range of application scenarios that can be modified. This concept was taken up by MOONDROP engineers, resulting in the all-new Quarks DSP. The Quarks DSP, which switched to a USB-C port, not only modified the interface but also upgraded the earphone interface’s analog to digital signal input. A DSP chip is integrated with the USB-C port chip for decoding and amplification. Quarks DSP provides a better quality of sound, a faster response time, and less power consumption than TWS. While designing the new Quarks DSP (Digital Signal Processing), MOONDROP took a completely different approach. The Quarks DSP is equipped with Digital Signal Processing, so it does not require an external DAC or amplifier.

MOONDROP Quarks is equipped with 6mm diameter miniature magnetic circuit architecture dynamic driver. The external magnetic circuit is composed of high-performance neodymium magnets and magnetic conductive parts, which provide excellent dynamics, lower nonlinear distortion, and the punchiest bass response. The diaphragm is made of high-performance polymer materials with toughness and compliance, which are repeatedly adjusted for the cavity structure to obtain excellent linear distortion performance. QUARKS DSP uses a patented anti-blocking sound filter that improves durability and reduces earwax imbalance. As a result of Moondrop double damping technique, the mid-high frequencies are filtered through two different materials with different acoustic resistance characteristics. DSP is unable to eliminate treble ringing caused by this design, so the sound is more natural and enjoyable. The Quarks DSP follows the enclosed cavity design. You can hear music at a lower volume since it isolates external noise, reducing the adverse effects of sound at a higher volume.

MOONDROP Quarks DSP supports versatile USB Type-C connections, which make it compatible with phones, laptops, and computers. It comes with both a modified connection interface and DSP adjustments for upgraded signal input. Moondrop has finely adjusted the digital filter on the Quarks DSP to achieve a more accurate frequency response. Compared with the old model, it’s a significant improvement. Quarks DSP has no delay and no signal transmission loss.
